August 4, 2006 - A Pied-Billed Grebe feeding its young a small fish.

June 1, 2009 - After walking through Eagle Lake Park, in Vilas County, Wisconsin, to the shoreline, looking for loons, I heard the unmistakeable drumming, and turned around to find this male Pileated Woodpecker just three feet off the ground, working on a small hole in the tree.

Red-Bellied Woodpecker
A male Red-Bellied Woodpecker in my front yard (eating whole corn below the squirrel feeder), taken from my living room - November 1, 2003
A male Red-Bellied Woodpecker discarding some wood shavings while hollowing out a nesting cavity in a tree. Another shot of him just peeking out, then climbing out, and a couple after he climbed out. At the edge of a cemetary, along some railroad tracks in Waupun - March 16, 2004.
After not seeing a Pheasant at all during the winter of 2011/2012, and half way through the winter of 2012/2013, I posted these pictures from years past, just outside of Waupun, Wisconsin.

Swallows
August 22, 2006 - While photographing another bird in Horicon Marsh, four immature BARN SWALLOWS gathered on a stick, sticking out of the water, while getting fed by the adults. They were there for nine minutes, with an adult coming in with food about every fifteen seconds.
June 22, 2006 - A TREE SWALLOW returning to the nest with a dragonfly for its young, on the "Egret" hiking trail, along the auto tour.
