Left Picture: Sigma 170-500mm f/5.0-6.3. Weight: 3 lbs. Good combination of portability and power. Still small enough to keep on the front seat of my car, ready for a quick shot. Light enough to carry around in the field.

Right Picture: Sigma 300-800mm f/5.6 (throughout the focal range). Weight: 13 lbs. Currently, the largest zoom lens made by any manufacturer. Not very practical to carry around in the field, but great for setting up, and shooting a particular subject for an extended period of time (i.e. fox den, eagle nest, etc...).

Not pictured, is my wide angle lens, a Tamron 28-105mm f/4.0-5.6

Also not pictured, is my ultra-wide angle lens, a Sigma 10-20mm f/4.0-5.6

My camera is a Canon 10D, 6.3 megapixel digital SLR (3 frames per second)

As of 9-27-07, my camera is the recently released Canon 40D, 10.1 megapixel digital SLR (6.5 frames per second).
