1988 883 Harley-Davidson Sportster


I bought this bike from Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson, in Thiensville, WI, in November of 1994. It was six years old, with only 2680 miles on it. I immediatly took it to a shop in West Bend to have it customized over the winter. I extended the forks (4 inches longer than stock), replaced the "buckhorn" handlebars with 12-inch "mini apes", replaced the two-gallon "peanut" tank with a 3.5-gallon "Sportsbob" tank and custom dash kit, replaced the stock seat with the Harley-Davidson "king and queen" seat, replaced the rear fender with a bobtail fender, and of course, a custom paint job.
